Released by OpenAI alongside GPT-5.4 on March 5, 2026, GPT-5.4 Pro is the enhanced-reasoning tier of the GPT-5.4 unified architecture. It applies additional compute on top of the standard GPT-5.4 model (with reasoning effort configurable up to "xhigh"), trading response speed and a higher per-token price for higher, more consistent accuracy on complex reasoning and professional tasks. Its knowledge cutoff is August 2025.
